Ok, I know it’s Music Monday, not Movie Monday, but we had so much fun last week talking about our favorite Christmas/Holiday songs, I figured, what the heck? Let’s talk about movies.
What is your favorite Christmas movie? That one movie or movies you MUST watch in order to have the holiday season feel complete?
Personally, I go for the classics. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and the rest of the Rankin and Bass movies. I also really like “Scrooged” with Bill Murray. Carol Kane’s portrayal of the Ghost of Christmas present is the best.
So what are your favorites?

Carol Kane was AWESOME in almost everything she did back in the day, but her stuff in that movie was hysterical. And, while I don’t have to see it to have the holiday feel complete, I love A Christmas Story the most. BRILLIANT stuff there.
If we don’t talk again, have a happy Christmas and merry New Year!
We have a Christmas tradition at our house. After we get back from church on Christmas Eve, we watch A Christmas Carol, the 1984 George C. Scott as Scrooge version.
We first watched it with all those wonderful IBM commercials from all over the world in 1984. (IBM was its sole sponsor.) We loved it so much that we jumped all over the chance to buy it on DVD as soon as it was released in the late 80s or early 90s.
We’ve not missed a Christmas since and now it has become a “must see,” always on Christmas Eve after church.
