Carol Kane was AWESOME in almost everything she did back in the day, but her stuff in that movie was hysterical. And, while I don’t have to see it to have the holiday feel complete, I love A Christmas Story the most. BRILLIANT stuff there.

If we don’t talk again, have a happy Christmas and merry New Year!

Hey Dane, thanks for stopping by! Oh, Christmas Story is wonderful too. And yes, I do get sucked into the 24 hour marathon they show sometimes. Maybe not for the full 24 hours, but definitely more than once.

We have a Christmas tradition at our house. After we get back from church on Christmas Eve, we watch A Christmas Carol, the 1984 George C. Scott as Scrooge version.

We first watched it with all those wonderful IBM commercials from all over the world in 1984. (IBM was its sole sponsor.) We loved it so much that we jumped all over the chance to buy it on DVD as soon as it was released in the late 80s or early 90s.

We’ve not missed a Christmas since and now it has become a “must see,” always on Christmas Eve after church.

That’s awesome!! And he really was one of the best Scrooges.
