This is lovely – can really feel the mother’s relief and pride. Beautiful story, :-)

I loved this. What a warm, parental feeling it brings. I have one about this age and remember my son going through it too. Lovely, lovely work, Vanessa. :)

Very sweet. Our little one just finished Kindergarten today. Now, keep in mind, my son just got married at the end of May, so if you want to have emotional mommy moments that definitely is one, but there’s something about sending your last one off to school that makes your heart ache a little, even when it’s swelling with pride.

I was asking her how she liked her first year of school. She said, “It was boring.” :)

Thanks for sharing this little piece of you with us.

Oh, thos found a tender spot I didn’t realise was there. The part about the missing baby teeth really got to me. My littlest one starts kindergarten in September and I know all these things are waiting for me for the last time.

This was beautifully written and it will stay with me for quite some time.

Hey everybody, thanks so much for your great comments. I was stuck for a FridayFlash piece and then, tada! It hit me. It’s wonderful when inspiration is just right there in front of you the entire time. :-)
