We met like many people do these days. On the Internet.

As I got to know him, I started thinking more and more about meeting him in person. Before I knew it, I started talking about him to my friends. And every time I thought about him, I’d get all mushy inside, waiting for the day when we could finally be together.
Finally the day arrived.
It was love at first sight. Sleek, easy to hold and so much fun, I wanted to take him everywhere with me, except the beach. But things got tense, when I wanted to go to the beach and left him at home in favor of a paperback. He was jealous and a little hurt. I started to wonder if he wasn’t the one.
But I realized…although I enjoyed the paperback, I missed my Kindle. One bulky paperback just couldn’t compare to the variety of my Kindle. 1500 books? And with the WiFi, I can download them whenever and wherever I want. There had to be room in my life for both. The ocean was no place for the Kindle. But at home, that was a different story. When I got home, we slid into bed and made up.
Author’s note: Thank you to my wonderful husband, Brian, who helped with the photo shoot, and for putting up with my strange ways.
