Me, a writer? Say it isn’t so. :)

I’ve pretty much wanted to write since I was a kid, but it wasn’t until I became a stay-at-home mom that I started working to fulfill my dreams. My first book came out last fall and the next one is under consideration with a publisher.

I keep going because to not write would be as successful as not breathing.

After stopping here I decided to participate in this challenge too. You can find my first post at http://booktoursandmore.blogspot.com/2011/04/april-2011-to-z-blogging-challenge.html

Good luck!

Fancy seeing you around here, Cheryl! :-) I’m glad you’re participating too. Can’t wait to read your posts.

I totally believed you about armadillos. I have never been very fascinated with them, but I was prepared to tune in. I’ve been fooled so many times today! :)

Haha, glad you enjoyed my little prank. :-) I admit, they’re interesting creatures, but I don’t know about giving up my day job to study them just yet.

I enjoyed your armadillo tribute – and then your April Fool’s – LOL! Now I want to love armadillos, anyway…

I write dark fantasy, vampire and historical, working towards publication. I’ve been writing since I learned to put sentences together. Can’t help myself.

A Piece of My Mind

Hey Julia, Thanks for stopping by! I love dark fantasy! Can’t wait to read your stuff. Thanks for the link.

Farrah from The Book Faery Reviews said in April 1st, 2011 at 10:47 pm

I do have an unfinished book I’d like to finish that was started 18 years ago. But I’m more of the reader than the writer. :-)

Hi Farrah! I love the name of your blog. One of my current WIPs is a book about the Fae! Thanks for stopping by!

Oh, what a fun idea!!!! I would love to join in, but not sure that I could come up with something everyday, lol!!!

I have always been an avid writer since I could hold a pen. I had my first mini story published in a local newspaper when I was 6. Mind you, it was a total one run on sentence, but still cool, none the less, lol. I’ve also had several poems and short stories published in various things throughout school, as well as participating in student writer conferences and groups. *Sigh* That was long ago, however and life has since taken over. I always used writing as an outlet to my emotions and still write when inspiration strikes – though it is usually when I am driving or laying in bed and by the time I have a chance to write it down, the thoughts have fled. Incredibly frustrating, to say the least, lol!!

That’s great though! I’m lucky to be able to work from home now, but when I was still commuting, I swear some of my best writing took place during the three hours in my car. Of course, when I couldn’t write them down. :-/

Hey V! Good to see you back. As you know my writing has taken a turn to the Watchdog blog. That really doesn’t lend itself. I’m also trying to keep up with the other blogs, but it’s been too doggone cold to ride (hence, nothing to blog about) and between watchdog and still dealing with health issues, I’ve not had a lot of time for the blog that does lend itself.

And Daniel? well, he’s still stewing on the back burner.

Once we see some resolution on the issues at Watchdog, I’ll have time for other topics. Watchdog sees to be coming to a conclusion within the next few months, and hopefully by the end of the summer.

Get your results yet from Pike’s Peak? When do they come in?

Hey there, I didn’t enter Pike’s Peak this year, just Crested Butte. (Chris and Lysi did though) I didn’t place in Crested Butte, and I haven’t gotten my feedback yet either. But you’ll be one of the first to hear when I do. :-)

I wrote a book called Armour Al Meets Caddy Lack about an armadillo. Just Kidding! I love reading the printed word and listening to books on tape. Reading creates mini-movies in my head. I wish I could write—maybe when I retire.

You SHOULD write that book!! That’d be awesome. :-)
