Hey everybody…no #fridayflash this week, but that’s ok. I’ve actually been working more on the first draft of my new project. I don’t have a title yet, but it’s a post apocalyptic faerie story. Sound crazy, but it’s fun so far.
So…what are you all working on lately? Anything interesting. Tell me all about it!
Hey everybody…sorry, no time for a #fridayflash today, but I will be around and reading some. In the meantime, as a follow up, here are the winners for the Moby Awards, which I mentioned last week.
Ok, I’ve been slack this week. I have no excuses, it was just one of those weeks.
So today, to make up for last Friday’s mega depressing post, I bring you a cartoon about my favorite beverage… Coffee.
People who know me personally, know I’m a Burton fan. I’m even a fan of the movies that nobody else likes, except for maybe Planet of the Apes. But now, ladies and gentlemen…if the first sign of the apocalypse was the idea/book of Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter, then surely, this is the second. This might even count for two signs, maybe even three.
I am a true believer now. Anything really IS possible. It MUST be. My husband told me about this last night and then I saw the following book trailer this morning. I’m really not sure whether I should smile, cry, high five the author for getting a several million dollar advance for this, or hunt him down like a dog, or curl into a ball and die myself, or laugh hysterically and enjoy the ride, or just vomit. Maybe a combo of all of the above. Really, I’m that confused. Check out the book trailer and let me know what you think.
Something interesting for Friday… Have kids? Live far away from the grandparents? They can still participate in the time honored tradition of the bedtime story. As somebody who does frequent webcam visits with loved ones far away, I thought this was pretty cool.
Thank you to Weezel atWhat Scares You? for presenting me with this annoying prestigious blog award. In a few moments, I will be bestowing the honor on a few of you per the rules below.

…a dimension not only of sight and sound but of mind; a journey into a wondrous land whose boundaries are that of imagination. That’s the signpost up ahead – your next stop…
You thought I was going to say the Twilight Zone, right? Actually, just writing that made me want to go watch a few episodes.
Anyway…I found a fun new website for Fun Friday! Creativity-Portal.com is the brainchild of Chris Dunmire, who founded the site in 2000. I’ve just started poking around, but I’ve found everything from writing prompts to craft ideas to interview with artists of all stripes. This site has a little something for a variety of creative types.
So, without further ado…check it out and have FUN!
