And we’re BACK!
Posted by vrleavittJan 12
Ok, so I took a break. A long one. And I’m starting my new year when most people are already starting to sag with their New Year’s resolutions, which they so diligently started on January 1st…or maybe 2nd depending on how much partying went on.
I admit, it’s taken me longer to get out of vacation mode than I had intended, but here we are. Now it’s time to get crackin’.
So how is everybody else doing on their goals? Anybody planning on joining me on the Artist’s Way journey? Well, you’ll all be joining me in one way or another, because I’ll be keeping you posted on my progress. Muaaa aaa aahhhhh!
Anyway, I hope you are having a brilliant 2010 so far. Any news or updates?

Nice to see you back VR! I actually did follow through and requested the book from the library. It just came in, but there’s another book that I have out, it’s overdue, I’m almost done, but I HAVE to finish it! They won’t let me check out TAW until I return the overdue book, soooo it’ll be a couple days until I can look at it – looking forward to exploring what it’s all about! Goal-wise, I’m drawing more, and trying to find my children’s book writing style, so I won’t be writing quite as much on my blog. Glad you had a good break…

Vanessa,
Welcome back. I did set some goals that revolve around losing weight, exercising, writing, and starting my cooking blog, which is now up and running. Even without a “real job” all of this keeps me very busy each day . . . I’ll follow along with you for now and see where this year takes me.

Sorry to come so late to this party, but I have been flat on my back sick for about two and a half weeks. It’s been ugly, mostly spent in a Nyquil stupor just to knock down the coughing, but I’m back at it.
In the last several months, I have figured out that the trouble I’m having with Daniel is he’s the middle book of a trilogy. I have known that for some time now, but starting in the middle has its drawbacks. While Daniel is the book I want to write, Jeremiah’s story must come first. Although they do overlap, keeping them in chronological order will keep me from going too nuts worrying about leaving anything out.
Soooo I have lifted and shifted to Jeremiah: The Man Who Weeps, which sets Daniel’s stage. This is where a lot of Daniel’s backstory info which made the cut file will be recycled.
I am currently in the research phase for Jeremiah, but it will go fast, and then I’ll be bringing handouts to Group again, at last.
Book number three is Ezekiel’s story. I ‘ve not really given him a lot of thought yet.

Karen! I hadn’t read this before I asked you if you were back on the Daniel project. I’m so glad you are! That’s wonderful news. I am sorry to hear you’ve been sick though. Never fun. Although NyQuil has it’s benefits.
