Lemonade on Hulu
Posted by vrleavittJan 19
Happy Tuesday, everybody. Tuesday…I’ve never really liked Tuesday. It’s just there. It’s not the middle or the end of the week and doesn’t have the distinction of being the first day of the week, it’s just…there.
Anyway, forgive the rant. I had the pleasure of seeing “Lemonade” last week. I mentioned this movie in a previous post. In my opinion, it was very well done. It’s inspiring to hear all the different stories and see people who go out there and do something they’ve always wanted to do after losing their job.
The good news is…you can watch the movie too. It’s on Hulu now. It’s only 35 minutes long, so if you have a spare half-hour or so, I recommend you check it out.

…what was so good about it, in your opinion? I’d rather here what you have to say about the movie, than taking the time to see the movie. Even if its only thirty minutes. Tell us all what YOU saw in this movie…then I might take the time, maybe.

Hey Garry,
Good question. I liked a few things about it. One was the variety of people in it. The people in the movie were all people who got laid off from ad agencies, yet nearly all of them ended up going into completely different fields. Granted, the put their ad agency skills to work in their new paths, but they pretty much completely changed their careers.
One became a purveyor of his home roasted coffee, another became a yoga instructor and yet another changed his gender.
It was inspiring because it showed that no matter how far you are in life, you can still make a huge change in your life if you want to. It’s not without struggle or sacrifice, but in my opinion, if something is truly worth it, the struggle and sacrifice aren’t so terrible. It also makes you value what you worked for more than if it was just handed to you.
It’s inspiring to see people living their dreams or at least giving it that old college try. In the immortal words of the movie Braveheart… “Know what happens if we don’t try? Nothing.”

I know that I’m a bit slow on this, but I gotta say I loved this movie. I recently lost my own job and have decided to give in and do what I’ve always dreamed of. This movie definately gave me hope. And anyone not willing to spend the half hour to watch it may need to rethink a bit. Just my personal opinion.

Hi Wolf! I’m so glad you commented on this. I’ve been hoping to run into somebody who has seen the movie as well. It’s great that you’re making your own lemonade. Good luck! Thanks for your comment.
